Slide

On our way to the slide that is on our complex property. She doesn't even know what she is in for!!!

She was so funny when i sat her their she didnt even want to hold my hand. I had to convince her that is was a must to go down the slide. I think she just like to sit up there nice and high to be ablet o look around and watch the other kids play.It took som massive convincing to get her to smile her. I don't think she really like the slide yet. But is sure was cute.Check out her hair.

Sleepy

Because i have been trying to get Hailey to sleep on her own i though she might like something in her crib with her. So I though Mr. Snuffles would be a great companion for her. As you can see I think they are getting a long really well.

For an Update on how Hailey is sleeping---She is doing Great!!!!! Part of last week i would just go in there and hold her. But now i don't go in there. sometimes we have heard from her but we just let her cry it out. The past two nights...amazing. I feel so much better and Hailey seems to be enjoying it as well. She wakes up at 9 a.m. bright and chipper and talkative it is so wonderful. I am so glad we (well me) decided to do this.

She loves to play with this basket. She can take the lid off and everything. She can play here for quit some time considering the toys are that great in my opinion- a star, golf ball, a bat, and a pig.

This was Hailey pretty soon after we moved here to Madison. I thought she was just so cute in these Pj's and she was such a stander and still is. These are actually the cloths that we brought her home from the hospital in. They were a little too big for her then and here a little small. But i like to make sure i get a good use out of her cloths. She kinda looks like a chubby boy with the way her hair is parted...sorry Hailey done her hair more girlish, but your still beautiful!!!

Dad

So Hailey has gotten so much better at her little words. Mainly "Da". Today during lunch we let her sit with us in her own chair while we ate. She doesn't like to be left out and on the floor. One of these days we'll get her a high chair, but until then this works. She became a little chatter box while we were finishing up thought i would let you hear her. She has gotten so much better at controling her sippy cup--the amount of water intake--She really likes it.

Every Saturday

So every Saturday we get to hear these Bag Pipers. It is so much fun, specially when they practice outside on nice days.

Happy early Halloween

She is such a cute bunny! We had ward Halloween bash on Friday. So many of our ward came. dressed up. Some of the costumes were amazing. Jessica and i went together cause both of our husbands were working. I was a chef and she was a western cowgirl.

Oh

So I am trying to teach Hailey to sleep through the whole night. I think it is about time that her and i stop waking up in the middle of the night!!! So I have been trying to help teach her on how to self-sooth. So when she wakes up I'll go in there and comfort her and hold her for a little bit and then put her back down. Of course there is some protesting and depending on how bad it is will determine if i go back in. Cause if she gets too worked up she wont go back to sleep.

During the process of Hailey going back to sleep you can hear her standing up and crying and then you'll hear a thud type sound of her just collapsing on her mattress This is her after she fell down and fell asleep. So sad!!! But is was so nice to sleep through the night the next night.

So we had a cake decorating enrichment at our house tonight. It was so fun 11 girls showed up. We practiced some tip work: writing, stars, shell boarders, drop flowers, and twisted flowers. We even attempted roses. It was so fun to see these girls do this. then we frosted our own cupcakes to eat and show of our new learned skills.

We then talked about how to frost a shaped cake and how it can be done. For those who weren't there or a review... the best way is to Crisco the pan, then flour(dust), and then line it with wax paper. That way you insure that the cake will come out of the pan. Once it is baked (as normal) let it cool for 10-15 minutes the flip it out to completely cool. Then you can cut it into the shape you want or just leave it as is. When it comes time to frost it the key making it look pretty is to do a crumb coat first. Which is just a light coat of frosting all around the cake (sloppy is great) this is to hold all the crumbs in this layer. Then let that frosting sit for a bit to harden up a bit. Then add the real layer nice an smooth-crumb free. Then decorate a way and you have a prefect cake.

Up date

Time has flown by Hailey is now 7 months old. It is so fun.

Things she can do: Crawl- she has gotten so much faster at it. She is even better at crawling over things like my legs or just other objects that are in her way. She is starting to figure out how to crawl up on things (of course things of smaller size) but up.

She can pull her self up on almost anything that she can reach. She loves to walk along the edge of the couch. She tries to go in between things like a chair and another chair without sitting down. She can open her dresser drawers.

She has become a little socialite. She loves talking to anyone who will listen or just herself. A big smiler and we think she is starting to understand how to wave goodbye. Right now it is just her raising her arm crazy like, but she is moving it and is supper cute. She is starting to make more familiar sounds like the two letter sounds- (ex...ba,oo,aa,) It is so cute.

Food/Drink: She has tried bread and tortillas, but the tortillas was a bad idea because they are sticky in your mouth so it was a little more difficult for her to eat, but she got it down. She has tried a couple of cheerios and crackers.

She has tried carrots and green beans. Well she has sucked on carrots. I haven't actually given her mashed carrots yet, but she sure does like them. She has eaten green beans and liked them. But i sure didn't like changing the diaper after them...gross.

She has tried plums and really enjoyed them. But we are trying to stay away from fruits and sugar because i didn't want her to grow up with too big of a sugar tooth just yet. To be honest i would hope we could avoid giving her candy until shes like 5, but i kinda doubt that it will happen, but that would be my hope.

She has only had water for now. I really don't want to give her juice yet because they are so sweet. I know i could supper water them down but that's okay. Also i don't want her to only want juice. She really likes water so why give her flavored water.

She is growing so fast. Some times she will head to her room to tell me she wants to eat I look at the clock and do some math and she is right it is about the time where she could eat. Another night she headed into the bathroom for her bath. I looked at the clock and she was right around the normal time for bath time. It is so funny how they love their schedules.

Play!

Sticking out their tongues...where did Hailey ever learn that?

It is so cute to watch Hailey play with other children. She gets so excited when other kids are around and is so amazed by them. I had to go to class and Michelle was not feeling good so i asked another wonderful sister in my ward- Brittany- if she could watch Hailey for me. I would have ditched if I hadn't had my my mid-term that day. Bracken is a month older then Hailey. Brittany took these pictures as they were playing

She loves my mug! Where ever it is and it is in reaching distance she will go after it. Even if it is all the way over the room. It is so cute. The only issue is she does not keep it up right the whole time, so water ends up everywhere if were not there to hold it for her. One day and we should have taken a picture but the jug must have been at least half way full. She got it and she was soaked to the diaper the floor to two (small) towels to get up all the water. It was so cute.

My Sippy Cup!

This is one of the two new cups for Hailey. She absolutely loves it. Half the time she only get this far and doesn't get it tipped up to drink at it but she sure is trying. She does really well with them, Only when she is supper excited for it and hungry will she get to much and choke a little, but nothing to frightening for her or us. which we are so thankful for. We are just not allowed to leave her alone with it.

Service

For one of the projects in Jason's Communication class they had to go on a group date and perform a service for others. So they decided to do a date scavenger hunt. We had a list of chores that we had to do, so went went from apt. to apt doing them for some people. It was a ton of fun.

Daddy's little helper

So While i have been in the kitchen i have tried not to let Hailey know that the door is a great place to climb, but last couple of times she has come and played. Its cute just hope she never learns to crawl up on the door

Big Cup

So who needs a bottle when you can have a real cup?
Well Hailey has never taken to a bottle but boy does she love cups, mugs with straws and sipy cups. When ever we are around other kids she goes after their cups. It is so funny. And what is amazing is that she can drink from them. Even my big mug with the straw she loves she will crawl and try to get it no matter the distance. She complains when i take it away. So last night Jason and i went and got hailey her very own sippy cups. She Loves them.

After Hair

Her two little teeth are so cute in this picture. I love it when she gives big smiles and her teeth show. She is getting so big so fast! it is so fun. I with this stage would last a little longer.

After church we took Hailey's hair out, but it still wanted to be in pigtails. It made her look so crazy and cute.

Friends

Hailey and Kaleb are so cute together. They have a ton of fun and they seem to really like each other. Kaleb like to sit in the banana chair and have us rock him back and forth. I thought Hailey might enjoy it as well. So at first i put Hailey in Kalebs lap but got a little worried that the would bang heads so i put them side by side. Hailey was not a big fan so i took her off, but Kaleb wanted her on so he got off and tried to pick Hailey up to bring her back on. It was so cute.

Then a couple of days later when Michelle was watching Hailey they heard Hailey complaining and looked to see what her problem was and it was Kaleb sitting on her lap. I think he learned that from me putting Hailey in her lap. So cute though.

Raspberries

It was is so cute to see Hailey and Kaleb play together. They spend two days a week together while i am in class from 10-1 sometimes 2 cause i am slow to get out of the kitchen. But they have really learned to play together. It is so cute. This is the first time that i have seen her laugh at what Kaleb was doing to her. He has learned so well how to be nice and gentle to her.

Doctor

We went to the Doctor today to get her 6 months check up and shots :( But she weighs 18.5 pounds and is 26 1/2 inches tall. She is just growing and growing. Although when you look at her weight on the curved chart graphs once she started to crawl her weight has leveled out a little bit. what a proof to working out. But that puts her in 85th % for weight and 50% for height.

The shots went well. She sure does not like them, but she gets over it and is some what happy before the nurses leave them room which is nice for them i would imagine. They offered for me to give her the flu shot, but i wasn't sure if i should. Does any one have an opinion on that one? Jason and i don't get it, but should she.

Movie?

Hailey really enjoys playing with the movies. And for this age what a better toy. They can't break she can eat them all she wants and the don't get ruined and they have tons of color. The issue will be when she gets a little heavier and starts walking on them or when she learns how to open them will we have to stop this, but until then have at it!!!

This was the first time she has found the holder of some of our DVD's and it was so cute she was just flipping through them like sh was going to pick one out to watch.

Pig Tails

Oh so Cute!!!! During Conference I decided that i should try and master pig tails in Hailey's hair. I have always wanted to do it but never knew how...and didn't have the right bands to do it with. Well still not having the right bands i just took half ones and went for it. She is so cute in them. It is so fun to see her crawling around with two little spikes. I think you will be seeing her in pig tails a lot specially once i get he right bands for her little Hair.

Pandy

Kaleb found a new friend. During conference Kaleb went into Hailey's room and we heard some heavy and hoeing. We looked in and Kaleb was trying to pull Pandy out into the Living room to play with him.

I have had this panda bear since i was like 4.When my dad came back from a TDY in Korea he brought me this panda bear and i named him Pandy. He has seen a lot in his days. He is the perfect pillow and very understanding. He has been the guardian of my room for almost 20 years now. But now I have Jason so i am letting Pandy take post in Hailey's room. He is doing a very good job so far.

Sensitive knees

It is so funny. when Hailey tries to crawl across the kitchen floor she walks like a bear. I don't blame her the floor doesn't feel so hot against the knees but it is just so funny. Also it is funny cause she will crawl all the way into the kitchen with no problem, but wont crawl out back to the living room, at all or with some strong complaining. She is so fun to watch.
