Out of the Mouths of Babes...and Dudes- John Bytheway

"I always wondered how people could say. " I love you" to people they don't even know, but now I realize that we all knew each other well a long time before. We're really just finally meeting up with old friends. "

Mesa Falls

So today we didn't have school and we wanted to get out and have fun. So we went and did something . We went to Mesa falls. this was actually Jason's first time there-my second. It was a tone of fun. We did the tourism stuff. Like stopping at the scenic pull overs and the reading stuff. This was the fist one we pulled over at. I have never seen such a great view of these mountains like this. The are so beautiful. Were you park-which now cost 5 dollars-There is a little visitor center that has cool stuff in it.
They had over furs, Claws, bug, skulls, foot prints, and antlers. It was fun to go in there and touch the furs. They had like 20 or something. They even had a porcupine-crazy. But they wouldn't let you touch the skulls...
not the most friendly polite sign we have ever seen but it is kinda funny.
Then we headed to the Upper falls. Nice wood pathways.
It sure was pretty. The rainbow is what amazed me.
I wonder if there is any gold and the end of that one?
Then after taking pictures and looking around we hiked down to the Lower falls. It is about a 1 mile hike not that bad at all the trail is nice and worn down- but boy are their bugs! Jason got eaten alive. For some reason they REALLY like him.
Was the Hike worth it...Kinda we were close but not the best angle to see it. If we were with out Hailey we probably would have climbed down some of the paths that led down there(little scary) But it sure would have been fun to get close to it.
We took a little break and thought Hailey might like to hike it back- didn't last long but she sure loved walking around out there.
Then we thought we would drive to the lower falls and see it from the look out. You see that grey area, well that grasses area right above there is where we hiked too pretty close. There is that dark brown trail that we wanted to go down, but to get there is a little difficult.

But this sure was fun! Next we want to go the the caves falls. Which is on the way to Mesa falls but you just take a right allittle sooner. So hopefully some time soon well be able to go check it out.

I love Mesa Falls! Travis, Adam, and I go at least once a year in between June and August. It looks like we're hopefully going in August again this year.
