Out of the Mouths of Babes...and Dudes- John Bytheway

"I always wondered how people could say. " I love you" to people they don't even know, but now I realize that we all knew each other well a long time before. We're really just finally meeting up with old friends. "

So the trip to Cheyenne was so FUN!! Hailey did great, she only got fussy once and that was because we missed an early exist and made her wait to eat a little bit longer then she was willing. But other then that is was great. We left our apartment (sniff sniff) in Rexburg at about 9 am Thursday morning then took care of some unfinished business and was out of town like 930. Which was perfect timing for Hailey to take a nap so we got to Utah clear roads, it was so nice. We stopped right our side of Salt Lake to nurse Hailey and then hit the road again. Then we stopped in Evanston to eat lunch at McDonalds. Hailey and Jason had a blast there in the play area.Even Jason joined in on the fun - because as rule two states that the child needs to be attened to. So Jason felt that that ment that if Hailey ended up at the top and she needed help he was allowed. Hailey was not at the top but she went any ways. It was a pretty good slide.Hailey enjoed the tunnel. We did has a slip and she fell but she still went back and played some more. It was so cute to see her play and boy is it more fun to eat there when you have kids to play at the play place.
She is so proud of her self. This was so perfect for all of use to get out and strach our legs. We all we in need of this little break.

So then we hit the road again. Hailey was not too excited but she gave in once we shut the door and she new there was no turning back but she played with toys and was a happy camper then fell asleep.

We then drove all the way to Rock springs to feed Hailey, Jason took a quick tour of Wal-Mart and a bathroom break for both of us and then we hit the road again.Roads were still good and dry. But then we started getting close to Rawlins- that was a switch of weather. We called my parents to find out what the roads ahead were like. Reports said- windy and slick spots from Rawlins to Larimie. Larimie to exit ??? closed. exit ??? to exit??? closed. from exit??? to Cheyenne windy with slick spots. Sorry i dont remeber the exit numbers but it was seriously maybe a 30 mile streach that was stoping us from making it home that night. So right as we were disscovering that we started hitting wind spots with slight slick roads and we came up to Rawlins exit so we took it and found our selfs a Hotel for the night- so much for making it in one day. But we stayed and wonderful Travevl Lodge Rawlings Wyoming.Well it was not the top best hotel there but it served us a great purpose in keeping us safe and warm through the night. We are so greatful that Jason listened and thought ahead to find out the road conditions so that way we were able to travel in safety. So We got a room with two Queen beds but unfortuntly for us they did not have a crib availble for Hailey to sleep in, and well we dont sleep ith Hailey so we made he a makeshift crib, it was great and she took to it surprisingly well thankfully.
She slept great. We slpet in ate some breakfast and then hit the road and again. We made really goor time. The roads we a little slick and we did some mild fish tailing but nothing too scary. We got here Hailey was a little uneasy of her surrounds but is loving all the new things to explore.

It was a great road trip specailly being Hailey's true first long road trip!!!! I wouls be willing to do it again, I am glad that we dont have to do it this week but in April I'm sure we will be ready to ceom back to school.

We love oyu all and miss you tons
